2 bases and introduction
This chapter is to introduce the reader to the ranges of topics of this thesis (diploma).
Thus as the first important point is described, what contents, meaning and a goal of the DVP project to do
Ilmenau are. In addition the FORE model is described for the collection of requirements at computer families. Subsequently,
liveCD projects are introduced. On the basis of the development of the digital television and the appropriate solutions of the
maintenance industry the meaning of the software-technical solutions at the PC becomes clear.
2.1.1 conception of the project
The DVP project was called 2002 by Dr. - engineer Detlef Streitferdt at the faculty for
software systems/process computer science in the life, in order to test among other things the FORE model developed in the thesis writing '' Family
Oriented requirement engineering ''6 and to evaluate7 the basic idea of
the DVP exists in the desire,
the possibilities of television of uniting PC and audio devices to a multimedia center.
In the thesis a concept and a notation were created, in order to describe computer
families, which let themselves consist of a system core and be extended in addition optionally depending upon customer's request.
This aspect of the software development has enormous development potential, there it quality, price and time optimization aims at.
The approach opens the possibility of being able to arrange
economically individual software out components already used. The customer is included thereby consciously into the development process and
the customer satisfaction rises.
For the evaluation
of methodology a PC-based system with current VDR software was created.
The structure of the system to do Ilmenau can to the appendix A be taken.
Detailed information developed the interested reader finds in the Thesis writing8 as well as in various study and theses (diploma),
those in the course of the time in the context of the DVP project9.
